Episode 4: The Backstage of the Revolution January 19, 2014 The Revolution of Dignity changed the course of history and the country, but much of what happened on Maidan was unpleasant. At the peak of resistance, it was impossible to speak openly about it. On the anniversary, we decided to reconstruct the chronology of those epochal days to avoid free interpretations and speculations. AutoMaidan was deeply integrated into all aspects of the struggle and witnessed the backstage of the revolution, which, unfortunately, was often unsavory and dirty. The main disgrace came from the opposition leaders. None of us expected ideal revolutionary conditions, but it was nauseating to see how these scoundrels continued to vie for personal gain and conduct corrupt negotiations behind the scenes while the people were fighting for justice and pure intentions. But we had no choice but to push this "opposition" forward. The main evil—the Yanukovych regime—united us. From time to time, we negot...

Disinformation and Greed Episode 3 - Little did we, like cadets from a military aviation school, imagine that a boring lecture on tactics would one day play a crucial role in the revolutionary struggle against the criminal regime of the president. The name of this military cunning was DISINFORMATION, which was intended to mislead the enemy into reallocating their combat resources, thereby weakening certain areas. The idea came unexpectedly and became one of the building blocks of victory, perhaps even one of the most crucial ones. For a month, the standoff on Hrushevskoho Street had been ongoing, with barricades burning. There had already been the first casualties. The impotent opposition was scrambling to find the best way to sell out to Yanukovych and secure more political dividends for themselves, while trying not to get exposed, as the people would tear them a...

Episode 2 - December 1, 2013 Music Mobile - The Mouthpiece of the Revolution After the students were beaten and Yanukovych refused to sign the association agreement with the European Union, people began gathering on Maidan, and a UDAR (HIT) deputy called me, asking to provide the music mobile we had used for wakeboarding sports events for the demonstrations. It was an improvised stage with 20 kW of sound, sufficient for loud activist speeches. In the cold weather, we needed to entertain people somehow, so we played upbeat music during breaks between speeches to keep them moving and dancing. That’s probably where the phrase “Who doesn’t jump is a Moskali” originated. Video 3 Later, we set up the stage, but our music mobile was damaged by SBU agents and provocateurs (with punctured tires, a broken radiator, and damaged loudspeakers), so we had to send it for repairs. Additionally, on the first day, Berkut arrested our music mobile driver; it was said to be the first arrest of an activi...
